- Fully Associative with Autodesk Inventor, Solid
Edge and SolidWorks. Full associativity between CAD
and analysis allows seamless integration of your CAD models
with COSMOSDesignSTAR without having to reimport the data
with each design modification.
- Multi-CAD Analysis. Compatible with
most popular CAD programs, COSMOSDesignSTAR can read CATIA
and Pro/Engineer model files directly, as well as IGES files
for both parts and assemblies. Based on the Parasolid
modeling kernel, COSMOSDesignSTAR also supports ACIS and
STEP AP203 standards.
- Assemblies with Gap Contact Analysis.
Analyze assemblies and part interactions with gaps, contact
and friction.

- Drop Test Simulation.
Simulate virtual drop tests on a variety of flooring
surfaces. In the event that your part or assembly might be
dropped, find out whether or not it can survive the fall
impact.
- Integrated Fatigue Analysis.
Study the effects of cyclic loading and fatigue operating
conditions. See the effects of fatigue on the overall
lifecycle of your part or assembly to find out how long it
will last, and what design changes can extend its working

Automatically refine and coarsen meshes in local areas of a
part based on stress results for accurate solutions.

assemblies of thick and thin parts with a combination of
solid and shell meshes.

such as pins, springs, bolts, hinges and spot welds.

infrequent users by guiding them step-by-step through their
specific problem.

analysis library can be used to create templates of commonly
used analysis specifications such as loads, supports, and
